"Why So Lonely" was my month long obsession in the beginning of this year. I stumbled upon it on YouTube somewhere when I was late night music show surfing and I'm so glad I found it. Super dreamy and melodic and different from your average K-Pop song. It's like Alternative Rock Reggae, as if pulled straight from 90s Alt Rock Reggae/Ska influenced bands like No Doubt, Sublime, or 311. But with the patented emotional resonance that is such a staple of K-Pop songwriting. I'm very proud of this edit as it is one of my favorite songs (not just favorite K-Pop) of all time. I can't stop listening to it. A true earworm song of a different color.
So Happy 5th Year Anniversary to "Why So Lonely"! Please enjoy the subbed video and follow us on IG and TikTok and subscribe to the blog and YouTube channel. Thank you!!!
From Wiki:
"Why So Lonely" is a song recorded by South Korean girl group Wonder Girls. It was released as a CD and digital single by JYP Entertainment on July 5, 2016, distributed by KT Music. It is the first Wonder Girls single not written by JYP Entertainment producer Park Jin-young, and marks their tenth anniversary as a group.
The music video for "Why So Lonely" is 1970s-inspired, and features a mannequin resembling a life-size Ken doll as the group's useless boyfriend. Throughout the video, the group show their displeasure in various ways, including by hitting him with a bottle, tying him up, putting him in the trunk of a car, and covering him with sauces and silly string.
